After winning the EnergieGenie award at the Energiesparmesse energy trade show in Wels, SOLARFOCUS has yet another reason to celebrate: The octoplus pellet boiler received the innovation prize for energy-efficient technologies last week at the Forlener wood and energy trade show in Piedmont, Italy.
On the occasion of Forlener, Italy's most important wood and energy trade show held in Piedmont, the octoplus pellet boiler convinced the distinguished jury - consisting of experts from such fields as research, environmental protection and agriculture - with it's pioneering technology made in Austria. octoplus received high marks in innovativeness and functionality and for its sensational system efficiency of 94 percent. This is the first product on the market that combines state-of-the-art pellet and solar technology in a single power plant that only requires one square metre of space. The burner unit is directly flanged to the tank and only turns on if there isn't enough solar energy. This makes the system ultra efficient with minimal power consumption. The state-of-the-art touch screen control is completely intuitive to use because SOLARFOCUS places a top priority on ease of operation.
Of course, SOLARFOCUS won't stop there and is already working hard on the next innovation to be presented next year: The new pellettop 70 pellet boiler will be unveiled at the beginning of 2012. It is a 70 kW unit that is ideally suited for multi-storey residential buildings and commercial buildings thanks to the possibility of cascading control up to 420 kW.
