Enerray invests to construct three landmark MENA solar PV projects

Sales of Solar Pumps Projected to Prosper at 11.7% CAGR by 2027: FMI Says

In a newly published research report titled “Solar Pumps Market: Global Industry Analysis (2012-2016) and Opportunity Assessment (2017-2027),” Future Market Insights estimates the global solar pumps market to reach up from a value of US$ 822 Mn in 2017 to a value beyond US$ 2,000.0 Mn in the next decade. During the forecast period 2017-2027, the global market for solar pumps is projected to grow at a stellar CAGR of 11.7%.

ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE 2018 reflects positive development in the industry

According to the current estimate of the German Energy Storage Association (Bundesverband Energiespeicher e. V. - BVES), the energy storage industry will grow by around 11 per cent in 2018 and will generate a turnover of approximately EUR 5.1 billion. Medium-sized companies are the main driving force behind this increase. The development of ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE reflects this industry trend: With a total of 170 exhibitors and about 4.500 visitors, also this year's energy storage trade fair and the two conferences ESE and IRES continued the positive development of the past years.

Siemens Gamesa to supply 104 MW for five french onshore projects

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has secured orders for the supply of 39 onshore wind turbines in France, with aggregate capacity of 104 MW, at five wind farms being developed in the regions of Hauts de France, Grand Est, Burgundy and in Western France.

SMA Inverters Help Sacramento International Airport Go Solar

The Sacramento International Airport (SMF), which saw 10.9 million passengers travel through last year, recently advanced its sustainability efforts with a new PV system. The 7.9 MW project at SMF, which uses SMA inverters, consists of two sites: A 15-acre plot near the airport’s economy parking lot, and a 20-acre location north of the runway. In total, the system uses two Sunny Central 2200-US inverters integrated with a Medium-Voltage Block, and three Sunny Central 800 CP-US inverters.

Contract for Wind farm Murra Warra in Victoria becomes firm

Senvion, a leading global manufacturer of wind turbines, has received Notice to Proceed for the first stage of the 429 MW Murra Warra wind farm near Horsham in Western Victoria. All conditions precedent have been fulfilled and the contract is now firm and in force. This announcement follows the signing of a Delivery Partnership Agreement for the project in June last year.

Senvion secures 23.8 MW Wakami wind farm contract in Japan

Senvion, a leading global manufacturer of wind turbines, has signed a contract to supply and service seven Senvion 3.4M104 turbines for the Wakami Wind Farm developed by Japan Wind Development Co., Ltd. (JWD) and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES). The turbines have a hub height of 80 meters, and have been specially designed to ensure the wind farm can handle potential seismic or extreme wind conditions typical of the Akita Prefecture located in northern Japan and meet the exacting requirements of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
