DNV obtains accreditation for noise testing of wind turbines

DNV announces that its Seattle, Washington, office has been approved for accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for acoustic noise emissions testing on wind turbines.

The programme consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the trainees get to know the system principle of a solar water heater. In the practical part, the distributors learn how to install a solar water heater on the roof.

SkyFuel develops giant parabolic trough

By means of a higher concentration factor, it will be capable of reaching higher temperatures. Including the subsidies by the US Department of Energy, SkyFuel will invest US$ 4.3 million into the development. Similar to SkyFuel’s SkyTrough collector, the mirror film ReflecTech, which is applied on aluminium sheets, is to be used also for the giant parabolic trough.
