Chile supports solar thermal energy

The law applies to new residential buildings and is initially valid until 2013. Systems capable of covering at least 30 % of a building's hot water requirement are eligible for this support. The amount of tax relief granted depends on the value of the building.

Viessmann starts tube production in China

In the autumn of 2008, Viessmann purchased the shares of the German manufacturer Eurocol in the Chinese joint venture Eurocon and thus became the sole shareholder. From 2010 onwards, around 300 employees will produce 650,000 vacuum tubes, which Viessmann will assemble into collectors. For 2012, the company aims at a production volume of one million tubes.

Kloben awarded for environment-improving technology

Kloben was able to win the prize for a solar plant, realized in the nursing home Santa Margherita in Pavia (North West Italy). The plant provides combined solar cooling and heating for the 200-bed building. The solar field is composed of 69 vacuum tube collectors with a total absorption area of 230 m2.

Chromagen enters strategic agreement with A.O. Smith

Under the terms of the agreement, Chromagen offers A.O. Smith the exclusive use of its solar collectors for utilisation in residential and commercial solar water heating systems in the United States and Canada. The two companies also agreed to work cooperatively to design, develop and market energy-efficient solar products.

Microsolar installs solar heaters for dairy farm

It comprises two of Microsolar's high-efficiency thermosiphonic solar heater units, which deliver 70 °C hot water for cleaning and sterilizing the milking machines. Microsolar's water heaters are designed and assembled in Malaysia for the international market. They are of a patented coaxial multivalve design: 30 large vertical heating pipes lead from the collector panel directly into the tank.

Perfect Lacquer for Solar Applications

This was the motto of the inauguration of Alanod-Solar's new solar factory celebrated in an architecturally demanding hall in Ennepetal on Saturday July 3rd, 2010.

Amongst a number of guests from politics, economy, national and international customers the inauguration of the new lacquering plant / coating plant was celebrated together with the ALANOD-family.
