Sowitec and Enel to develop seven wind projects in Chile

The two companies have signed a contract for the development of seven wind energy projects in the northern and central regions of Chile. Under the terms of the contract, the Chilean subsidiary of the German project developer Sowitec International GmbH has transferred exclusive rights to Enel. As a result, Enel has the right to purchase the wind farms when they are completed.

Zarges produces wind tower internals in Texas

From Amarillo, Zarges wants to be able to supply the growth markets of the USA and Canada even better than before. The start of construction of the 7,500 m² factory is scheduled for the second quarter, and it will be opened before the end of this year. By 2012, about 100 members of staff will work in production and in the logistics centre, according to ZAS Director Bernd Goepfert.

Natural Power widens Ecology offerings through partnership with Welsh firm Ecology Matters

Keppel invests in OWEC Tower AS

KV Ventus B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation Ltd. (Keppel) has today entered into a share and subscription agreement and shareholders' agreement to acquire a 49.9% stake in OWEC Tower AS, a Bergen /Norwegian based company. As part of a wind farm of three units, ACSA delivered its third A27-225kW wind turbine to its Italian customer. The project is part of a complex installation to upgrade and maintain a very weak grid at the same time. The first unit has been installed and is running successfully, and number two and three will be installed as soon as all site preparations are finalized.
