PNE WIND AG has successfully completed the ground survey for the offshore wind farm “Gode Wind II”

Cuxhaven - The wind farm developer PNE WIND AG (ISIN: DE000A0JBPG2) has completed another important step in the preparation for the start of construction of the offshore wind farm "Gode Wind II" in the North Sea. First wind farm in Vietnam

The Vietnam News Agency reports that the first wind farm in Vietnam went into operation on 18th April. The project in the province of Binh Thuan currently consists of 20 turbines with a combined capacity of 30 MW. After the final expansion phase the Binh Thuan Wind Power Plant will have a total of eighty 1.5 MW turbines.

Steag acquires Monsson's 108 MW wind farm project in Romania

German electricity producer Steag GmbH acquired the 108 MW Crucea North wind farm project in Romania. The project in Constanta county was developed by Romanian Monsson Group, a private wind energy developer with a 2,400 MW portfolio of projects. Steag will invest around € 200 million in this wind farm, which will have 36 wind turbines of 3 MW supplied by Vestas.

Certification tests for the Haliade 150 ramping up

The Alstom offshore wind turbine at Le Carnet near Saint-Nazaire, Loire-Atlantique department (France) is generating its first kilowatt-hours of power. In preparation for certification, the Haliade 150 is being subjected to a range of onshore tests prior to the installation of a second turbine later this year in the North Sea off the coast of Belgium for further offshore testing.

RWE Innogy buys Polish wind farm

RWE Innogy has bought the Polish wind farm Taciewo from the Spanish manufacturer and developer Gamesa. Located in the north-east of the country, Taciewo's 15 turbines have an installed capacity of 30 MW.

Gamesa: new high-volume orders from Brazil

Gamesa, the Spanish turbine manufacturer, has sold a further 129 wind turbines for a total of ten wind farms in Brazil. The company signed a contract with Santa Vitória do Palmar Holding for the delivery and installation of the G97 2.0 MW turbines in mid-September.
