Gamesa receives GL Certification for its G52-850kw 60Hz turbine

  • Designed for difficult sites, the turbine will allow Gamesa to better position itself in emerging wind markets in Central America, South America and East Asia

More Hexcel Prepregs Approved by Germanischer Lloyd for Wind Blade Construction

Hexcel's is delighted to announce that two more HexPly carbon fiber UD prepregs have now been certified by Germanischer Lloyd for use in wind energy applications. The two newly qualified prepregs use Hexcel's HexPly® M9.6G and M19G epoxy resin systems, both of which are MDA free and fully compliant with REACH regulations.

Romax opens Wind Business Centre in Chennai

Romax Solutions Pvt Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of the world's leading drivetrain technical consultancy Romax Technology, recently opened a new Wind Business Centre in Chennai. The branch was officially opened by Dr S Gomathinayagam, Executive Director and Mr Rajesh Katyal, Unit Chief (R&D)of C-WET (Centre for Wind Energy Technology) ) on 5th January 2011.

The Stade District Court dismisses entirely the action against PNE WIND AG with an amount in dispute of EUR 54.28 million in connection with the sale of the stake in SSP Technology A/S

Cuxhaven - The Stade District Court has today dismissed the action of SSP Technology ApS, a company of the VENTIZZ-Group, which was directed at the reversal of the sale of the majority stake in SSP Technology A/S held by PNE WIND AG until 2008 against repayment of the purchase price of approx. EUR 34.54 million and an additional reimbursement of expenses in the amount of EUR 19.47 million.

Gamesa will triple its investments in China to expand and adapt its manufacturing plants for the local development of new turbine systems

Gemsa and Iberdrola Ingeniería are awarded a contract to build a 102-MW wind farm in Honduras

Madrid / Zamudio - A consortium made up of Gamesa and Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción has received a contract to build a Honduran wind farm, known as Cerro de Hula, a project which will have 102 MW of installed capacity. Gamesa controls 76% of the venture, while Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción controls the remaining 24%.
